Different Bible Translations

Why are there different translations of the Bible?

no original manuscripts
copies of originals
unfamiliar original languages
copies translated
revisions made

(expanded)

The original manuscripts no longer exist (or at least have not been found).

But many copies (and pieces of copies) of the originals do exist.

Not many people are able to read the Bible in the languages they were originally written.

So, the existing copies are used to translate the Bible into the many different languages and dialects on earth today.

But languages and dialects change/morph over time, so subsequent revisions or whole new works of translation are done to keep God's Word understandable to people.
